The shooting having been thus concluded, and the proceedings having been conducted in the most satisfactory manner, but for one unfortunate circumstance, the accidental shooting of Thomas Cooper, a private in the Coldstream Guards, who was employed as a marker, and was mortally wounded by a bullet from the rifle of Sergeant Roberts, musketry-instructor, the distribution of the prizes took place on the ground itself.
